If the household composition changes, such as someone entering the household or leaving the household for 15 days or longer, the family assistance unit is required to notify the staff of the changes by completing a Change of Circumstance Form. If someone in the family assistance unit has left the home for 15 days, it must be reported on the 15th day or the following business day. When an individual enters the household, it must be reported within 5 business days by completing a Change of Circumstance Form. If a change of circumstances is not reported or reported timely, the case may be closed for 30 days or the fraud policy will apply. A letter will be mailed that includes the dispute resolution process if the case is closed. Otherwise, the fraud policy will be followed.
