Public Health Emergency Declaration due to Threat of the Corona Virus COVID-19

As the Tribal Chairwoman of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, I am enacting an Emergency Declaration in accordance with the inherent sovereign authority of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe. By that authority, I am implementing the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (March 2013) and the assignment of responsibilities as outlined in the Emergency Management Plan. As of 11 am this morning (3/10/2020) there are still no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Clallam County. The School District Potlatch is postponed indefinitely for the health/safety of the community.
