Public Notice of Changes in Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Laws Relating to Possession and Use of Marijuana October 13, 2020 The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Business Committee hereby notifies all Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Members and persons within the Tribe’s jurisdiction that the Tribe’s marijuana laws have been modified to bring them in line with current Washington law. In March, 2020, the Tribe enacted a Commercial Marijuana Activity Ordinance to authorize a commercial marijuana enterprise operated by the Tribe. Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe OPICAC McCambridge Scholarship
This scholarship application will be offered to students who are returning to college and seeking financial aid reinstatement; after showing serious intent by registering for classes even though they are required to pay for them themselves, or for those who are seeking funding for the Klallam language course offered at Peninsula College. This scholarship is not a set amount, but instead based on need and funds available. If possible, payment in full will be made for up to 6 credits, with required books, per awarded student. Free Food Distribution
Clallam 2 Fire-Rescue, in partnership with the Port Angeles Food Bank, Port Angeles Fire Department, Clallam County Emergency Management, and Port Angeles School District will be distributing free non-perishable food boxes starting on Saturday June 6th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (or until supplies run out) at two of our fire stations.
