2022 Chairperson Election Results

Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe Election Committee The results for the May 28, 2022 Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Chairperson election are as follows: 165 total valid ballots were cast of which, 69 were drive-thru poll ballots, 53 ballots mailed-in and 43 mail-in ballots were dropped off. 1 ballots was invalid, which had no accompanying voter affidavit. Vote totals for each candidate were as follows: Frances “Gator” Charles 109 Russell “Razz” Hepfer 28 Edward V. Election Committee Vacancy

IMPORTANT  ELECTION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENT There is a vacancy on the LEKT Election Committee. A single sign-up sheet will be posted in the tribal center lobby beginning on April 8, 2022 until May 15, 2022. All interested parties should print their name on the sign-up sheet and submit a letter of interest to the Tribal Council Executive Assistant by May 15, 2022. Tribal Council will then appoint a new member to the LEKT Election Committee.

Youth Wellness Scholarship Program

The Youth Wellness Scholarship Program is established by the Business Committee for the promotion of health, wellness, and supporting academic success and administered by the Tribe’s Executive Officers under the authority of the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe General Welfare Code. The Youth Wellness Scholarship Program provides nontaxable and non-resource assistance under General Welfare Code Section 01.100(2)(e)(v) to youth aged 5-17 Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Members, and first generation descendants. Proposed TANF Plan 2022-2025 Public Comment Request

PUBLIC COMMENT TANF PLAN Your input is important! The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe’s TANF Plan for 2022 to 2025 must be submitted to the Administration for Children and Families for review by August 1st.
