The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe has been awarded funding under section 601 (a) of the Social Security Act, as added by section 5001 of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
On May 20, 2020, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal Council approved an economic support program under the Tribe’s General Welfare Code and under the allowable allocation of funds guideline from the U.S. Treasury Department, the provision of economic support in connection with the COVID-19 public health emergency.
In doing so, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe has decided to disburse a portion of its CARES Act funding in three (3) increments of $1200.00 to every Lower Elwha Klallam Tribal enrolled member 18 years of age and older as of May 1 st, 2020. The economic support program will financially support enrolled members directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and alleviate the hardships endured now and through the end of the threat of COVID-19. These funds will help support our membership during these unprecedented times.
The remaining funds will be allocated to fund the best mitigation practices of COVID-19 to our Tribal membership, communities, and Government Administration services.
Eligibility:
LEKT Tribal enrolled members must:
- Be 18 years old as of May I st, 2020.
- Update individual contact information on disbursement dates.
- All out-of-area members must contact Marilyn Edgington to update contact information prior to disbursement at 360-457-4012 ext. 7444 or via email at Marilyn.Edgington@elwha.org

- May 28, 2020

Bring the completed form with you on disbursement day and submit it in order to get your economic support funds.

If you are unable to come to a disbursement in person (out-of-area member, vulnerabilities, etc.) you may mail the form back and we will mail your funds to the address you provide.
