The Lower Elwha Mental Health Program offers help for people of all ages who are struggling with difficult emotions, problem behaviors, or who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships. Whether you need temporary support through a difficult time, or help recovering from lifelong trauma, we are available to help.
Our staff of accomplished licensed professionals have experience helping people of all ages and with many different types of life problems. They each hold advanced degrees in areas such as professional counseling, marriage and family counseling, and clinical social work. All of our counselors have had either training or professional practice helping people with issues related to cultural trauma.
We offer a variety of approaches so that we can provide the best care for your specific concerns. Our approaches include, but are not limited to, supportive counseling, grief counseling, cognitive behavioral treatment (CBT), mindfulness, EMDR, Play Therapy, DBT, and specialized help for eating disorders. We also have specialized training to help those enduring the special challenges of aging. Our services are open to Elwha Tribal members and their family members, and to other Native Americans who live on the Olympic Peninsula.
